A course designed to teach the knowledge and practical skills of massage so you can become a remedial massage therapist!

About the Diploma of Remedial Massage:
The Evolve College teaching approach is designed to train therapists to understand the anatomical body to a depth whereby they can determine variations from normal health status. The focus is then placed on using a combination of specific musculoskeletal assessment techniques and specialist hand skills to apply a remedial treatment aimed at addressing the cause of the patient's health status.
We prefer to work on improving health and not just providing relief! Upon graduation, you will be eligible for affiliate membership with a professional massage association, and ready to start your career as a Remedial Massage Therapist!
Remedial massage is a practice that uses massage as a form of applied remedy to musculoskeletal ailments. In the Diploma of Remedial Massage Course you will learn skills such as:
- Remedial and Sports massage
- Deep tissue massage
- Relaxation massage
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Massage Techniques:
- Effluerage (Stroking)
- Petrissage / Kneading
- Frictions
- Vibration and Tapotement - Injury and Clinical Assessment
- Strength and Conditioning
- Human movement assessment techniques
- Industry Skills (Communication, Business skills, clinic management)
These skills are essential for Remedial Massage Therapists and our Diploma Course Training is designed to make you job ready, meaning you can start as soon as you graduate!

- Remedial Massage Therapy Practitioner
WA Job's and Skills Government Subsidy 2024:
The Department of Training and Workplace Development have reduced the massage course fee cost through their Jobs and Skills WA program.
Eligible Western Australian residents may enroll into the HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage course through the Lower Fees, Local Skills program. This program is run through Western Australia Government. Evolve College is approved to offer funding available under the Priority Industry Training Program to existing workers residing in the Western Australia.
Eligibility criteria for Government funding: (You pay $1, 200)
To be eligible for WA Government funding for this course, you must:
- Reside in Western Australia; and
- Be an existing worker (20 or more hours per week): and
- Be An Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia; or
- An eligible visa holder, as outlined below.
Eligible visas include the following subclasses:
- Holders of a sub-class 309, 444, 785, 790 or 820 visa;
- Secondary holders of a temporary visa of sub-class 457 or 482 visa;
- Holders of a Bridging Visa E (sub-classes 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of sub-class 785 or 790;
- Ukraine citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449 or 786;
- Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449; and
- Holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work and who have made a valid application for a subclass 866.
Please note, you can only be enrolled and claim one Jobs and Skills WA subsidy at a time. If you are enrolled with another provider in a Jobs and Skills WA program, you will not be eligible for enrolment with Evolve College until you have completed or withdrawn from the course.
Eligibility for concession fee: (You pay $400)
The following categories are eligible to enrol at the concession rate ($400) aslong as the three eligibility requirements above are met.
- Persons aged between 15 – 24 who are not enrolled at school*
- Persons and dependants of persons holding:
- a Pensioner Concession Card;
- a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs; or
- a Health Care Card.
- Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of services from the following Commonwealth support or employment services programs:
- Workforce Australia; or
- ParentsNext.**
- Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
- Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
- Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
- Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school.
*You do not need a valid concession card if you are aged between 15-24 and are not enrolled at school. Your course fee will be capped at the annual course fee cap for concession students.
**For Workforce Australia or the ParentsNext Program, appropriate evidence for concession eligibility is a letter from the Commonwealth services provider confirming the student’s participation.
Course Delivery:
The Diploma of Remedial Massage has a blended delivery. Meaning there is both online and on-campus learning. The on-campus part of your course is delivered by attending a 2-day block approximately once every 3-4 weeks. Theoretical learning is delivered online with tutors from our expert training team meaning you can learn at your own pace and receive quality support. This unique delivery system means you can experience industry leading and highly reputable training from our team without the strain of weekly in-person classes.
You can choose from the following on-campus class options:
- Weekend Format (Saturday & Sunday classes - 8:15am - 5:30pm)
- Weekday Format (Monday & Tuesday classes - 8:15am - 5:30pm)
The online part of your course is split up into two sections:
1. The Evolve College study HUB:
The Evolve College study HUB is split up into two parts also, The light reading / learning material and the questions. Each subject has various different topics to learn that build upon each other to create your foundation as a massage therapist. All of our learning is designed to help you understand rather than test you. There are no exams or essays involved, just some multiple choice, short answer questions and some simple projects designed to build and practice these essential massage skills.
2. The online Virtual Clinic:
The online virtual clinic is designed so that you can achieve all of the required supervised massage practice hours from the comfort of your own home and in the flexibility of times that work best with you. We don't want you to miss out on studying because you can't attend on-campus classes, 2-3 time per week so thankfully we have found a way for you to still become a high-quality massage therapist.
Qualification:
HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage.
This qualification is Nationally Recognised Training and qualifies you to be a Remedial Massage Therapist.
Evolve College is registered to deliver the HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification. This qualification has been set by industry and endorsed by the government as the benchmark for entry into the remedial massage profession.
Graduates from our on-campus program who satisfy all relevant requirements will be eligible to apply for a provider number for Medibank Private (and other private health insurance funds which have set similar/the same educational criteria), allowing clients to receive rebates. Rhonda was very good. Created a relaxing enviroment and got right to all the spots I requested. Excellent communication skills always making sure i was comfortable and made my experience one I would definitely come back for!!! 10/10

-- JeanetteBelinda's massage was excellent. Belinda demonstrated her ability by explaining the benefits of the excersizes in addition to the massage. Where she may improve is finding trigger points. I sometimes had to help her or adjust her position slightly. Overall Belinda acted professionally and demonstrated a very high level of knowledge.
