About the Role:-

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Remedial Massage Therapist to join our growing team at PhysioXtra Norwood. This is an exciting opportunity to build your own client base while working closely with our physiotherapists to provide high-quality, evidence-informed massage therapy as part of comprehensive rehabilitation programs. Our massage therapists are valued members of the clinical team and play an important role in helping clients reduce pain, recover from injury, improve mobility and optimise performance. 

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Deliver high-quality remedial, sports and therapeutic massage treatments
  • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists to support patient rehabilitation and recovery
  • Communicate effectively with referring practitioners regarding patient progress
  • Develop personalised treatment plans based on client assessment and goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes
  • Educate clients on self-management strategies including stretching, recovery and injury prevention. 
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through exceptional care and professionalism
  • Maintain treatment rooms to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Contribute positively to the culture and reputation of PhysioXtra

About You:-

  • You are someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering an exceptional client experience

You will have:-

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage (minimum qualification)
  • Current professional association membership
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
  • Health fund provider numbers (or willingness to obtain them)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong manual therapy skills
  • A professional, positive and friendly manner
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to continuing professional development
  • Previous experience working alongside physiotherapists or within a multidisciplinary allied health clinic will be highly regarded but is not essential
