Evolve College Clinic Attendance Policy

Any person attending an Evolve College clinic does so subject to the terms and conditions of this policy and protocol. Entry into an Evolve College clinic is subject to and constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions.

1. Zero tolerance of in appropriate behaviour

Evolve College has a zero tolerance policy on inappropriate conduct, offensive behaviour and sexual overtones or conduct.

Clients are expected at all times to behave with courtesy and respect. The standards set out in this policy will in no way be compromised. Any breach of any of these provisions by a client or any person attending an Evolve College clinic may lead to the client/person being asked to leave the clinic immediately, at the sole discretion of Evolve College.

The following are prohibited in all Evolve College clinics: inappropriate, offensive or sexual behaviour including without limitation sexual overtones, innuendo or suggestion. What constitutes inappropriate, offensive or sexual behaviour is the sole decision of Evolve College and at its absolute discretion.

Evolve College teaches health-care modalities for the sole purpose of educating students to provide a respectful, and professional service to clients in a health-care setting. Evolve College clinics are a simulated clinic environment in which students provide a respectful student service to clients.

Evolve College will not accept any abuse or disrespect of the services provided by its students during any Evolve College clinic. Any client using or apparently using any health-care modality taught by Evolve College as a reason to seek gratification, stimulation or in any way acting in a manner which Evolve College deems inappropriate, will be instantly dismissed from the clinic without remedy.

Evolve College shall at all times reserve the right to report any inappropriate behaviour which could be construed as an offence, to the Police or other appropriate regulatory authorities and need not provide notice to the client of having done so.

2. No medical advice or treatment

Evolve College trainers/assessors and students are not qualified to give medical advice, diagnosis or medically registered treatment, and attendance at an Evolve College clinic is in no way a replacement for or alternative to medical treatment or care. Medical advice and/or treatment should be sought from a registered medical practitioner for any symptoms requiring medical care.

The treatment provided at the Evolve College student clinics is based on the therapies which Evolve College teaches. No claims are made that any such treatment will assist or support the recipient. Clients enter the clinic and receive treatment at their own discretion and risk. Signed consent to treatment is required before any treatment can be given.

3. Student environment

The Evolve College student clinics are a simulated clinic environment in which students practise, learn and are confirmed in what they have been taught during their course. Students administering treatment in these clinics are not qualified practitioners, but performing treatments as part of their learning and study.

4. Safe practices standards

Clients requesting to attend an Evolve College Student Massage Clinic must ensure they present in a clean (freshly showered) and hygienic manner for treatment, ensuring any broken or irritated skin is covered and advise their practitioner on arrival of any massage contraindications including, without limitation, broken or irritated skin so that the area/s can be avoided. For other contraindications please see our consent form, available at all clinics. The above are part of Evolve College’s safe practices standards, which apply at all clinics.

Please note that if the safe practices standards above are not met the clinic will be unable to provide a massage treatment to the client on the day. We thank clients for attending to the required standards, which are part of the professional service provided by Evolve College.
