    From Strain to Benefit

Last week, we looked at how we need not be bogged down by risk analysis and regulatory compliance in business. We often think it’s too hard and we struggle with meeting all the red tape requirements that we face, but if we shift our focus to the actual purpose of our business – what it is truly about – then we may find that meeting the regulatory requirements is a natural consequence.

If you care for people and provide the highest level of service possible to them, then meeting regulatory requirements becomes second nature.

You don’t struggle to meet requirements; you are already, naturally meeting requirements, for the simple reason that you have made your business about people.

And what if there is another advantage to this?

The fact is, if you make your business about people, and you have all your t’s crossed and i’s dotted, not because you don’t want to get in trouble, but because you want to provide the best possible service to your customers/clients – then this has an additional bonus

It sets you apart from the pack – it shows you are the real deal (as in you provide real customer service and your business is about people, first) – this is the best competitive advantage you could ask for.

This concludes our series on using risk management to our business advantage.
